FAQs

What information do I need to provide to get started?

We’ll send you a secure link to our client portal where you can complete a short questionnaire and upload your prior-year tax return and current tax documents. A detailed request list will guide you through what’s needed.

How long does it take to prepare my tax return?

Turnaround time varies based on the complexity of your return and how quickly we receive your documents. Most individual returns are completed within 3-4 weeks after complete information is received during peak busy season. The earlier in the year you provide your information, the sooner we can prepare your return for your review.

How do I send my documents securely?

All documents are uploaded through our encrypted client portal to ensure your personal information is always protected. We do not accept sensitive documents by email for security reasons.

Do you offer virtual services?

Yes! Our entire process can be completed remotely—from intake to e-filing—so you can work with us from anywhere.

Can you help with tax planning, not just tax filing?

Absolutely. In addition to return preparation, we provide year-round tax planning and strategy to help minimize your tax liability and plan for the future.

How do I review my completed return?

Once your return is ready, we’ll notify you to review it through our secure portal. You can ask questions by email or schedule a video meeting if you’d like to go over details together.

How do I sign and file my tax return?

After review, you’ll sign your electronic filing (e-file) authorization forms directly in our client portal. We’ll then submit your return electronically to the IRS and applicable state agencies.

What are your fees?

Fees vary based on the complexity of your return. We’ll provide an estimate up front once we review your prior-year return and intake information—no surprises.

What if I receive a notice from the IRS or state?

If you receive a tax notice related to a return we prepared, contact us right away. We’ll help you understand it and guide you through the next steps.

Can I mail or drop off paper copies of my tax documents?

We kindly ask that clients avoid submitting paper documents whenever possible. In addition to keeping your information secure, going paperless helps us reduce waste and support a more environmentally friendly process.
If you ever need help using the portal, we’re happy to guide you through the upload process. Together, we can keep your information safe while doing our part for the environment.
